The LIFE IP has a total duration of ten years (1st October 2016 until 30th September 2026), divided into four phases with a duration of 2.5 years each.

Due to the complexity of the application process financial support had already been granted for the elaboration of the proposal via the LIFE sub-programme “Technical Assistance”.

​LIFE 14 TAE DE 005 – Elaboration of an Integrated LIFE Project: “The exemplary· implementation of the EU 2020 target with a focus on oligotrophic habitats on sand in the ​Atlantic region of Germany”, term: 1.1.2015 – 31.5.2016


2015

Until October 2015

Drafting of a concept note with financing plan


2016

Until April 2016

Elaboration of the full proposal with detailed actions for the first 2.5 years as well as an estimation of the volume of activities and expenses for the remaining term

Until October 2016 

Process of coordination with the EU Commission and revision of the proposal

Approval of the proposal LIFE15 IPE/DE/007 (first Integrated Project in Germany within the LIFE priority area “Nature and Biodiversity”) – The exemplary implementation of the EU 2020 target with a focus on oligotrophic habitats on sand in the Atlantic region of ​Germany, start of the Project

Participation at the 2nd Atlantic Seminar in Ireland, poster presentation to introduce the Project

24.11.2016

Participation at the „Capacity Building Networking Workshop” in Budapest and short presentation of the Project


2017

Participation at the meeting „LIFE15 Integrated Projects PLATFORM“ in Finland (= kick-off seminar for the Integrated LIFE Projects 2016)

Launch event in Ibbenbüren

First monitoring visit of the EU Commission

Arrangements for the implementation of the actions of the first phase and start of implementation

10.10.2017

Second monitoring visit of the EU Commission


2018

Implementation of actions of the first phase and planning of the actions for the second phase of the project


2019

The second phase of the project starts on 1st April 2019.


2021

The third phase of the project starts on 30th September 2021.


2024

The fourth phase of the project starts on 1st April 2024.


2026

The project has achieved its end.
