Interview with LIFE IP Project Manager in the context of Solingen’s "Long Day of City Nature"
On 3 June, the City of Solingen organised the "Long Day of CityNature" for the second time. Due to the Corona pandemic, the programme this year was deliberately conducted in a digital format.
Thus, interviews on various topics related to nature conservation and urban nature were filmed in advance. In the interview "Clearings for nature conservation – how does that work?", for example, the nature conservation measures in the Ohligser Heide within the framework of LIFE IP were discussed. Project manager Dr. Sebastian Schmidt from the Münster district government, Dr. Jan Boomers from the Biological Station Mittlere Wupper and Markus Schlösser from the City's Nature and Environment Service (responsible for forests and landscape) presented the concrete measures on site and their background in detail.
