LIFE IP team presents poster at 2nd Atlantic Seminar in Ireland
From 25th until 27th October 2016, the second Atlantic Biogeographic Seminar was hosted by the „National Parks and Wildlife Service“ in Ennistymon, Ireland. Eight of the nine member states of the Atlantic Region attended this meeting with a total of 90 representatives, both from ministries, technical authorities as well as non-governmental organizations. The event is an important opportunity for the participants to exchange information in regard to better implementation of Natura 2000 in the region and ensure progress towards the EU 2020 Biodiversity Strategy targets. This included building a common understanding of practical management issues identified as being of common priority, stimulating new know-how about effective management approaches and developing cooperation and networking activities on issues of shared importance. Senior Project Coordinator Dr Sebastian Schmidt from the District Government of Münster presented a poster to introduce the Integrated LIFE Project.
