Virtual excursion to the site at "Lohmarer Wald"
Excursions to the various sites of action of the LIFE IP are hardly feasible in times of the Corona pandemic. Even if they cannot be a full substitute, digital options offer at least a little comfort here. ‘Bündnis Heideterrasse’ reports in this short film on site about the measures taken for the renaturation of bog areas at the ‘Stallberger Teiche’ in the ‘Lohmarer Wald’ near Siegburg. There, the remaining bogs are to be expanded or revitalised within the framework of the LIFE IP by removing tree and shrub growth at the edge of the bogs, closing drainage ditches and building dams for rewetting.
